Puffinshire

There are no puffins in South Africa, so they're a relatively new discovery for me. I was aware of them of course, but now that I live in close proximity to one of their breeding grounds I've investigated further. Suffice to say I've found their affability, resilience, adaptability and cuteness incredibly charming. Add to this their penchant for nesting in burrows and their big feet, and I can't help but think of them as feathered hobbits.
